IKEA: How not to Do-it-yourself anymore!
Hey guys,
Well, as a full on DIY girl, I’ve naturally checked out this year’s IKEA Midsommar celebrations (and special offers! =) )and found it (as always) just fabulous! But the TRUE Do-it-yourself part of going to IKEA is that you really must do it yourself, i.e. ALONE! Why is that? What is it about that yellow and blue cube that sends girls into home decorating hysteria and boys into deep depression?! Apart from the fact that I think that it wouldn’t hurt any of those guys (you know who you are) to do us a favour every now and again; especially cause we can’t possibly carry our (ever so cute yet horribly heavy) new LARKSVIK or ELKSTRÖM dressing table home and up the stairs by ourselves. So, PLEASE boys, let me know what it is you loathe so much about IKEA (or is it the Swedes? Hating them for having a Calvin Klein underwear model in their national team is petty and unacceptable!) And girls, if you’ve found a way to actually get your guy to go to IKEA with you willingly, tell us your secret! Hope to hear from you soon,

Today’s “Law of Soccer”
For all women and “not-so-into-soccer men”, here’s another fact about soccer that I learned from yesterday’s Confederations Cup Finale:
If there’s any soccer tournament that Brazil is involved in – Brazil will win it!
Oh, soccer is so easy…(I wouldn’t say “primitive”, nooo…)
FIFA Women´s World Cup 2011
Germany will be hosting the next soccer world cup in 2011. All women should be excited about!! And it´s amazing if you think that the first women´s tournament was held in 1991, whereas the men´s world cup in 1930. It´s not fair
The two most succesful teams are Germany and the US. Don´t ask me why!! The qualyifing rules are basically the same as those for men: participants qualify through the regional footbal confederation (usually it´s a continent). The last tournament, won by the Germans after an exciting final against Brazil, took place in the roaring China in 2007. No wonder that Nordic countries place best in the overall ranking. That´s by all means due to the more acceptance of the role of the woman in “men´s businesses”. It´s interesting to notice this relationship between success of a woman football team and the general/social view of the role of the woman. I think it´s a nice topic for discussion!! Leave comments if you want to leave your opinion about this link between the two aspects!!
Take care and stay fit!!!
New Transfer Record…
I think you all know him…young talented and sexy ( !?….you tell me…). Of course I am talking about the World’s best Soccer Player at the moment…Christiano Ronaldo…from Manchester United.
It’s an important transfer and so you should know at least a few things about it, besides that he looks good
For some years know Real Madrid showed great intrest in Ronaldo, but Machester rejected all offers, up to know. Today, they accepted a £ 80 Million (94 Million €) offer from Madrid. When Real and Ronaldo can agree on the contract terms the transfer will be completed. It would be,of course, the highest transfer ever made. The previous world record were 78.5€ Million for Zinedine Zidane in 2001, also bought be Real Madrid.
However, that’s not enough, Real additionally contracted one more of the World’s best players…Kaka…from AC Mailand. This time for 65 Million €…So they already spend 159 Million € for two players…..
These are unbelievable sums aren’t they !?
What do you think? Should there be a limit to this kind of transactions?

“Bundesliga” Transfers
it’s the time of the year again, where men like to talk about club switching soccers players. From a men perspective it’s the perfect topic to talk about to survive the season break. It great cause it involves speculations, money and even your heart (when you club is affected, especially when the best players leaves…)
Here are the most spectacular ones so far (for men). I link them for you so you can decide whether you would have paid also that much money to have them in your team…
I don’t find them attractive at all, but I think that’s more a gender issue…..so lean back and watch
Mario Gomez from Stuttgart to Bayern 30 Million (new Budesliga Record)
Diego from Bremen to Turin 24.5 Million
Ivica Olic from Hamburg to Bayern free transfer
Anatoly Tymoschuk St. Petersburg to Bayern 10.9 Million
These were the spectacular ones…money wise….who would be your number one of these ?
I personnaly like the hair cut of Anatoly the most…
